Hey guys, just thought i'd post a few pics from checking out the sturgeon! We netted them out of the pond for inspection and will be sampling them next week

The one i'm holding i believe is 6 foot 8 inches. she was the heaviest with a 36 inch waist. The largest in that picture was 7 foot 10 inches. That was nose to tip of tail. Not the fork length. Although we only netted up 18 of the 20, 2 slipped under the net.... twice... LOL Of those 2 the Snake river female is probably around 6 foot 6 and the other one i believe is a male pushing 8 feet
the pond is about 7 to 8 feet deep, we will be digging a deep hole below the pond (water table is low there)and adding another 18 inches of water depth into the upper pond in the next few days. Pond is about 100 feet wide by 160 feet long.
