My wild Goldsaum

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would feed the peas a couple of times a week as many as he wants, if you feed the meat (shrimp, mussle or Salmon) once a week I would feed some peas with the meat, a few peas, a piece of meat and then some more peas, to keep things moving along. The pellets you have should make up the bluk of the diet. I posted in another thread that when I would feed krill as an example I would notice stringy poop for a day or two afterwords, the shell I think was the main cause. Although meaty foods in general seem harder on their digestive systems and tends to consapate them if feed to often.

Interesting have not heard that theory before. And having never owned a wild caught saum before i wouldn't really be able to know. However, it would make sense, since i have tried medding him 2 times now, nitrates never go above 5, a tad of salt, 30Celcius, varied diet.

I feed him all sorts of different things. Veggie flakes, NLS veggie pellets, NLS Cichlasoma formulae, Hikari Massivore, Bloodworm, Raw fresh shrimp, Mussels, and chopped up samon filet.

Do you have access to NLS in Europe? Where???

I order mine from the UK, via Ebay :)

Otherwise no, there is nothing in Denmark at all. Even Hikari is very hard to come by.

Aquanero, i have been feeding him peas and he is really loving them!

I can visually SEE results now. His stomach is bulching outwards after only a couple of days, instead of inwards, which it never has regardless of the amount of food he receives.

I'll take a pic soon.

Thanks a bunch, it really did the trick :)

That's great, he is a good looking fish. Good luck with him. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
