well, the only advice i can give you and some of it may have been said already is

spend lots of time in front of your tank so they get use to your presence. if if can be achieved by putting the tank in a high traffic area it'd be easier then making it a point to sit in front of your tank daily.

dim the lights or darken the water

lastly, be patient and give them time.

Like Baller said Bw extract would make them feel at home, also what's your temp, 76 or so may make them more docile and less skittish!

Awesome shoal and I love the tank, mircobe lift Amazon extract is awesome!

Did ya do any research before buying? just saying, a lot of people think they are blood thirsty beasts that will gnaw on your fingers when you put them in the tank. very timid fish.

+1 especially in a glass box, I think that takes the "wild" out of them...

Hey F1, when did your shoal start losing the red on their bellies? Mine are all looking like yours now. Youngsters are getting like your monsters.

As they get bigger, 5-8" it starts to fade, but after a wc there's little red but for a few days after they show red, recently their all very dark with little red. Hopefully they breed soon!

Give them time they will come around. I have ten in a 150 gal and they are skittish at times. High traffic area helps I placed three exdons in there and that started them to more around more since the exdons came into the tank. the exdons swim around alot and the piranhas started moving or schooling with them. I know in a matter of time they maybe lunch. But for the time being i get the movement in the tank.
