My winter QT for koi

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
galvanized tanks are not good they leach there coating to the water

I have heard that it does, but i have used this for 5 years now...maybe the algae coast stops it from leaching? my fish have grown almost 5 inches total in there this winter. i can do a video sure, it looks different slightly

I took the submersable out and put it into the drum...got great results

ill go shoot one now

My lights are grow lights and my spectrum matches sunlight, i ws able to grow some water plants and bloom flowers

could you video the filter setup?
Im interested in how the tank fits into the context of the room and the filters , as well as the type of lights you used to shoot the video?

here you go, looks like a highway of water lines but its pretty simplistic and works, needs tweaking every couple weeks but nothing big, had an prange peel clog my bottom drain and overflowed the tank:eek: but nothing big

:ROFL::ROFL:Sorry, I knew it was galvanized (& could see the algae build-up) I just wanted to you to say it to see how long it would take to get the leaching comment, NEW MFK record ...Les than ONE minute :ROFL::ROFL:.

I've used them for what seems like eons, after I scrub the oil out of them, then season them for a year. The algae's secretions help coat the interior surface and seal it, lab tests showed no leached metals.

Nice winter set-ups too.
