Figured I'd make a thread for all the wolves rather than updating them in the thread that was for the curupira. Well all is well as of now. I had added a small 4.5 in bichir to the larger tank that's about the same or a little less girth than the small wolf which was 3.5 inches. So 2 inches from that guy in a month. The bichir was in there for a few days fine so I went and added the wolf and goby. Plans as far as the malas go is to see which will be more active or personable. Though they both stay out in the open but on the bottom as of now. The larger one swims around right before lights go completely out though. But I got him with his front jaw messed up. If it heals I'm leaning towards him.
Small guy alone and then bigger guy with bichir in the back and goby tail. The Senegal I'll most likely give up as it gets larger for space.

So my curupira finally ate. Though I don't thing he ate what he was intended too; or that and more. Which now worries me.. I had taken the smaller mala and Senegal out to and placed them in a smaller holding take till I bring them into the lfs. But now I'm on hold with the mala. I can't seem to find my marble goby ever except at night when he slowly comes out. He hides where I can't see him and it's dark there. I had 3 goldfish in just incase (originally more but his tankmates eat too). I put a few in everyday from the qt tank. The curupiras belly is extremely large now. All gold fish are gone. My worry is the goby was about the same girth as the 5inch mala. But an inch shorter. So I've no doubt he can eat the mala and bichir. My worry is that he won't eat gold fish or decide he's not filled and eat a tank mate again.. Idk we'll see might have to get a larger grow out for the mala. Thinking a 33l (48x12x13) or 30b ( smaller in height then 40b). I'll continue to look for the goby if not well maybe it's for the better lol. Doesn't matter to much. Was an experiment kind of.

Marble goby is definitely gone. Removed mala just in case. The odoe seems to thick and I doubt he'd try the ornate as they're always together. Threw in a male jewel cichlid see if he'll eat him. Need a bit of measure to see when I'll be able to put the mala back. Might have to just wait till they're the same size. Shouldn't be to long. Power feed the mala maybe. We'll see. Time will tell me what I can do lol.

Lol it's alright, I wasn't expecting him to take a dark camouflaged fish over a shiny one but as with all wolves casualties were expected somewhere along the line, just wasn't sure when. The odoe has grown quite fast actually. He's very greedy, I enjoy watching him chase feeders when I throw them in. He takes pellets too but the wolves haven't. The bichir hasn't either. But as said I'm not trying to train them yet but maybe I will now since the mala is out and focus on growing him and training them. But I'm still worried the bichir might be to skinny and the wolf will get hungry and take him though they seem to be buddies. Not sure.

Well he's kinda comfortable now I think or maybe this is a one time thing but he's out and I could get close without him running. But he regurgitated the goby lol. I took him out after these pictures.

More pics of the half digested goby. The wolf also came right back out after I took the goby out, maybe he's coming around.

Lol, the black wolf did end up slitting then goby out. The white dead fish is the goby after spending the night in the wolfs stomach lol I think what makes me so intrigued to black wolves is there slight resemblance to a coelacanth. They look alike to me atleast lol.

Maybe it's just me but when floating they're both thick dark and the way the wolves hold their fins, idk they just remind me of coelacanths.
