My wood is too big.....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What the hell kind of MFKers are you guys?
You need another "larger" tank to soak it in. Then when it's ready just move your fish to the new tank.
I can't think of many better excuses to buy a larger tank than: "My wood is too big"

haha.

I would soak it in the tub. What kind of wood it is. Thats a great find it might take forever to get that wood to sink.

I have no pool and I use the trashcan daily. My only alternative is the bathtub or trying to borrow a pressure washer from someone. The carwash was just a thought, but I'm afraid on getting some type of chemical in it. And I don't have the room for another big tank. I just don't want to let this piece go unused because of it's uniqueness. Thanx for the responses................

DO NOT use the pressure washer at the carwash, even though you have it on "rinse" there has still been soap, wheel cleaner, engine degreaser etc etc ran through it, and I think youd do more damage that good doing that. Id do the tub idea if it were me

sorry, i have nothing helpful to say.

i just wanted to compliment you on the best title for a thread i have ever seen!!!

hahahahh

If your wanting to boil it to kill anything thats on it then just pour a couple of boiling kettles over it. it may take you a couple of trips but you'll eventually end up boiling it all at some point. If you need to soak it for a while because it will float, just weigh it down with something in you tank for a while then take the weight off and there you go.
