I wish folks would look up the regs (they're provided on this site) before posting injurious comments.

The wels is neither listed in CA's Restricted species list nor is it listed in Federal Code 50, Title 50 Wildlife and Fisheries, PART 16—INJURIOUS WILDLIFE.

Keep us posted on it's growth progress and husbandry.
 
Thanks Oddball! Like I said, I asked an attorney who looked into the laws and gave me the ok!

N.C. yes, about a week or two ago they did a River Monsters Wels Catfish episode! Ceewah posted it so contact him to see the video.

He either confused it with another type of catfish, or he assume every fish is illegal in CA :D

:WHOA: I'm surprise the Albino cat schooling with that big boy! He could be snack! I rather use scrubber attach to 10-ft pole for cleaning, instead of swimming with the Giant! :grinno:
