Any updates Tim? Really interested in these rays. They are amazing looking when they color up.

I checked out your ray (if it is the one I think it is). Yours are not the same species as mine.

I know, most of them are not but my new one looks like it has the same black markings as in your first picture and it seems to have light spots coming through in between. I am still fattening her up so hopefully her pattern turns out nice.
 
Bellacornuta - if your ray was a Xingu, you'd already know it and there wouldn't be any sort of guessing game. Kind of like thinking you have a juvenile P14 but are just waiting for it to colour up to tell for sure - either it is, or it isn't - if it is, you paid for it and didn't just get it for cheap by mistake

Ok then, I was just saying that the pattern on mine is VERY similar just faded out because when I got her she was malnourished ^^
 
i hate to be the bringer of bad news man but... they arnt the same species.... these are from brazil, ones u get at the lfs will NOT be from brazil
