I'm starting to get the flash figured out on this deep tank. Not their yet, but gaining. I cleaned the glass on this tank spotlessly. Then I decided I had time to do a water change. This tank has an ehiem 2260 on it with a spray bar. While I was changing water water mist was everywhere. Didn't notice it until I had taken pictures. Glass was a total mess.

They are in a 180 for now. He is 4 1/2 and she is 5 inches

These fish are going to be a lot of fun. What personalities.

A few to show the colors. Since dovii colors get better and better as they get older I can only imagine how nice they will look.

His lady

And finally a dovii dither.

top is male correct

wow, even the dither is amazing!!! Quick question...how big are they? I thought they were a little stunted because of the size of the eyes.

Ron keeps his fish in TOP quality setups, no way they are stunted. i'm guessing you got this idea from IOS's post on asian arowanas and how japan stunts asains to make the eyes bigger so old fish look young and such, but this isn't the case with cichlids.

"He is 4 1/2 and she is 5 inches"

and he said in his post..

I'm glad you are here XR. I often don't have time to get back right off. I don't know that I have ever seen you wrong so I appreciate it.

They are just babies. I got them from Ken (Kens fish farm). I bought 4 but these 2 paired off and killed the other 2 before I got them. They are never seperate for more than minute or so. Very compatable pair SO FAR.

I did read that asian aro post, but I just got the impression it was a little stunted. I have no doubts to Ron's fish keeping abilities, it was an impression. ;)
