wow, even the dither is amazing!!! Quick question...how big are they? I thought they were a little stunted because of the size of the eyes.

I was about to say the same thing!!!! So much detail in the dither pic!!! They have big eyes because they came out of an anime.

What is the dither fish? I like it!

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone.
I really think they are going to be beauties as they grow. Once they get some size on them I'm going to move them to a 270 that I've had for years and never set up.
After their trip from Georgia to Maine they were a little nervous for a couple of days. Now when they see me coming they come right to the front of the glass and watch. I'm feeding them quite often so they think I'm the food guy when ever they see me.
The dither is a giant danio. I use them most of the time and it works well. Make sure you have a top on the tank though, they like to jump, especially at night.

If you want to take better pictures you should check out APF.

How many danio's are you using? My Dovii pretty much do nothing but hide, especially the female. I need a decent dither fish to try to bring them out.

I keep from six to nine in the big cichlid tanks.
What I've done with nervous fish in the past,is every time I go near I would give them just one or two pellets and take a stool and sit in front of the tank not moving much. After a while they associate you with food and don't see you as a threat. They see the danios going after the food even though its two big for the danios to eat. Works for me.

Sounds good.. my Dovii are still relatively small 7" and under but I'll start off with 6 Giant Danios.. I'm hoping the introduction of a bigger tank this weekend should help as well.

Usually when I feed them I sit and watch them eat but they generally only eat after I have left or when the lights are off. They are wimps :)
