i had a school of blue hooks that went from 1-2" to 4-6" in less than a year. lots of food and water changes help.
Just an update.. I got my blue hooks around 2-2.5 inches 2 weeks ago.. now they are closed to 3-3.5" inches feeding them small amount of pellet 3x a day. They grow fast..
I have a question regarding buddha1200's middle picture on page 2. The fish appears to have a silver reflective streak on the front of the hook and no black. Is this a younger fish or another species? I ask this because my previous red hook mets all looked like his other photos with black on the fins with red, and my new three red hook mets all look like this middle photo with red and a silver reflective line. You can look in my photo album for pics, they look almost the same so I don't know if all three are photoed or not.
There are a few strains of fish we call red hook silver dollars (Myleus rubripinnis) I think I have seen 4.

Truffles are very good in chocolate - as well as other dishes. I don't understand the price but the are a rarer food item and people will pay for them.
