My guess would be snails. Some species lay there eggs above water like briggs but other lay the eggs in a clear gel like substance under water which sounds like what you got.

I think cardinals are egg scatterers and corys lay there eggs indiviually ok a flat surface not in a gel clump like snails. Not sure bout shrimp I would imagine them being like crayfish sheltering there eggs under there tail but not sure never messed with shrimp.
Shrimps carry their eggs hence the term "berried" in reference to female shrimps carrying the eggs around. None of the fish and shrimps other than the snails is responsible for those pouches of eggs. Bladder snails, pond snails and ramshorns snails are the ones I'd easily suspect.

I would also bet it is snails if you have canas or spixis.
Canas don't lay eggs underwater. Spixis, I can agree with but not canas.
i found a Mysterious transparent pouch of eggs on a leaf in my 15 gallon planted tank yesterday!

Snails. The sack will dissapear as you have said. In about two weeks or so you should find several of them sliding around your tank. They almost look like dirt, but they move.

Transparent eggs. Are they in a dime size cluster most likely snail eggs.

They sound like nerite snails... They are awsome :D

yah their kinda cool, they remind me on micro stingrays. i can see them open and close their mouths as they travel on the glass.

common pond snail eggs are transparent until the very last day or 2 of being eggs. then they look the same and start moving around the tank. after a week or 2 you notice very visible snails
