Becuz 4 of my Orino grow outs looked identical to yours, and I like you was stumped on what they were until they hit that 3-4 inch mark and I knew then they were Orinos, now they are all over 10-11 inches. But like you said really a waiting game and orinos grow pretty slow compared to the rest -

update whatever this cichla is its still small..got him by himself now..been feeding him guppies n bloodworms..but haven't seen barely any growth..so idk what he is lol
