Looking at all pics I feel comfortable saying Mayan hybrid. Basically it looks like a fading Mayan with a hump! Mouth and pre-fading pattern are a dead giveaway

In the latest pics I also see a non hybrid Amphilophus species "red devil", with normal wild type coloration.
If you look on the tangledupincichlids web site, you will see many photographs of wild Amphilophus with that similar coloration.

Ok this fish has had a drastic change in color after feeding it grand sumo red the past month. here are some more updated pics, I still refuse to call it a midevil.
