Mystery from Local fish store.

picture074.jpg about 2 or 3 months ago i went to my local fish store to pick up a couple fish for my new 125 Gallon tank, I got a Red devil, Jack Dempsey,Albino Tiger Oscar and Tiger Oscar, as well as 2 Columbian Shark/Silver tip sharks 2 Common Plecos and 2 Golden Algae eaters. later that day i noticed in the back of the tank a very small maybe .5 inch fish, i looked south american to me so i left him to see what happened, none of the fish pick on him, though they are much bigger, infact he chases the algae eaters, i looked everywhere online to try to find out what he is, he is about 1.5 inches now and the closest thing ive seen is a baby dovii??? what do you guys think?

Another thing is i never noticed putting him in the tank, i use a net to transport fish from bag to tank, and never noticed this little guy til checking everything out later that day
 
To small at this point to say, have you went back to the lfs to check on what it could be?
 
Ya I went back and they said "we dont carry anything that looks like that" which is another reason im so confused
 
The marks that this fish has are on the top and back fin he has little spots throughout that are a lighter color and he has a light blue or maybe silver spot on his gill and the line through his body has maybe 3 or 4 little breaks in it and the top fin has a light brown or yellowish tint at the very top
