Ill try to get a better pic in a little bit using a camera instead of my phone, but dont you think if it was African it would have been eaten by now?? none of my other fish seem to care that he is in there, and he doesn't mind them either

The fish looks like an African. One of the pseudotropheous types. Might be a female as there are no egg spots on the anal fin. Might be fun to grow out. The other fish have probably not picked on it as they can hide in the most fantastic of places until they are old enough to defend themselves. Did you have the tank set up prior to the current stock list? Did the rocks come from another source? If there was a pocket in the rock that held some water this fish could have hitched a ride.
in positive he came in with my jack dempsey and red devil, and with him hiding, he hardly ever hides, he gets along fine with all my fish which confuses me becuase ive tried getting a piebald in there with them and they dont have any of it.
