I don't really think there IS a bright blue pike, about the only pike I know of that is blue is Crenicichla punctata....lol. I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of any right off the top of my mind. At least not completely blue. Some pikes DO have blues in their coloration....but punctata takes the cake for over all...

ah, i din't think there was a bright blue pike, i'm waiting for a malaysian breeder to breed my Flower-snout Electric Blue Crenicichla sometime in 2025

OK ~ took a WHILE . . .

1st fish has been ID'd as from Argentina, possibly Missiones district. It is so far Undescribed but has been seen in the hobby as gaucho ~ but is NOT GAUCHO!

2nd pair is similar to C. jaguarensis, but again is something else. It is from the Pantanal region of Brazil & Paraguay. NO NAME for it either!!!

All I know is that they're nor C. lacustris - which is what they were supposed to be when purchased last December. Still a mystery ~ will post more pix,
they're still growing & lookin GOOD.....

that's all very interesting...I bet there are lots of unidentified or variant pikes out there...maybe my electric blue pike will show up some day !

So my guess of gaucho was correct even if they are not really gaucho? LOL
