mystery pike?

i bought these pikes cichlids little bit ago and i can't figure out what they are

More than likely sp. venezuela. Where did you get them and for how much?

I think its really hard to tell the difference between a strigata and a venezuela. I see some pics labeled venezuelas that I think actually are strigatas and it goes both ways. If someone could help tell what the differences are I would like to know. I call mine a striped pike because I am not 100% sure, but I think they are strigatas. You might have to wait until they get older.

Generally strigata have an ocellated blotch just behind their gill plates and Vennies do not. Couple videos of strigata--not mine.

Thank you. I like her but I was hoping that it was a larger species of pike. 6" will have to do.

i got them at ocean floor in Phoenix AZ and i got for ten bucks each but they were sold as just regular pike cichlids
