Mystery Plant

Roughly 2-3 weeks ago I began cycling my tank, I took all the precautions (bleaching rocks/driftwood) etc, etc. and now im just waiting for my levels to balance out so i can begin adding some fish. Today i noticed something unusual though, as i was looking in my tank i noticed a little sprout emerging out of my driftwood. at first i was worried but ive come to the conclusion that im just excited to see what happens with this, my lights arent for growing plants because that was never the idea, but hey if this little guy takes off i won't mind, cant wait to see what else happens!

^ They sprout mushrooms while in your tank submerged??? if so thats pretty cool, as long as it doesn't kill your fish...

its not algae, and doesnt look like a mushroom
and yes it is submerged driftwood, ill get a picture

a neighbor of mines backyard, and yeah i didnt think it would make it either, the wood looked dead when i got it and i bleached it for a long time
