the ones i had all they needed was water. they would breed nonstop.

the question is does anyone know how to git rid of them lol.... they breed better than any fish all you need to do is keep a little algea in the tank they love live plants and a fine soil... temp mid to upper 70's im supprised someone enjoys them in the aquarium you will soon have thousands

My experience is that I bought some java ferns for my 180 tank and I think thats where they came from. I soon noticed those little snails in my tank but more partilcularly my sump. I was too lazy to get rid of them so I just left them their.

Later on I recieved a lifeguard UV sterilzer for free so I bought a new bulb for it and put it to use. Well I dont know how long it took but no more snails. I think the uv killed the food source of those little snails. Not sure about your tank because it is a planted tank.

Other than putting the snails in the same tank the only other requirement is that the tank is not full, leave 2-5" of space above the water level for eggs to be layed on.
