It accually does work that way! I bred gold mystery snails with black mystery snails, and got grey ones, black ones, and gold ones. The eggs take forever to hatch, and the young take forever to reach maturity. Mine are only .5 cm bigger than they were when they first hatched. It is so painfully slow!

calcuim is important. i used crushed coral and substrate
leave a 1-2" area above the water. keep a good lid to keep humidity in
egga are layed above the water and will hatch in 2-3 weeks if you do what i say.
