Mystery snail???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He is much better now. He is eating my hornwort :( and is sometimes crawling around. I am going out to get calcium foods for him this weekend, but until then pellet will have to suffice.

Are you sure he is eating the hornwort? I've never had a snail eat hornwort.

He is on it 70% of the time, but he only took about 2 bites until he stopped liking it...
There is also an anubias in the tank.

Get clear pics of the spire and other angles of the mantle. I can't see your pic clearly to indicate whether that snail is a Pomacea diffusa or not.

He isn't at a good angle for that ATM, His spire is in the plants...

updated pics of mantle and shell.

It's a mystery snail to me. They do like decaying plant matter so if yours are decomposing, then that could explain the behavior although hornworts aren't definitely tasty.

Can I put three or so ghosties in there with him to add some activity?

He dug a ditch for food and a ditch for sleeping. I wuv him!

I can see why you like snails so much

zzzzzzzzz it's a snail you dont really have to care for it much once in a while throw in some fish food. The snail will be fine
