mystery worms

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Safe bet they got munched. I have no idea how they survived as long as they did. My guppies make them disappear in seconds. It's possible something laid eggs in a filter that hatched and populated your tank briefly. Now knowing that midge larvae IS food I doubt you'll see too many swimming around in the future.

You think that's scary? I had leeches. My entire tank was filled with these free swimming clear leeches some would plaster on to the glass like a pleco. They were vegetarian leeches.- that's right you read correctly
vegetarian leeches like nature isn't crazy enough
I did not know such a thing even existed. Apparently they're beneficial micro algae eaters and quite tasty to fish. Took them 3 days to figure out they were edible and a few minutes to devour every wriggling one of them. I'm going to start a thread about my other horror story.-That one did not end well for me.
