Im not sure they are callumanus worms but could be wrong. I was under the impression the 1st signs wpuld be somerhing protruding out of the fish atleast tjat was the case with my fish.

Also dont think they are detritus worms. I get them time to time and they usually look white and translucent infact im pretty sure we all have detritus worms but only notuce them when theres an abundance of food sources ie overfeeding

Okay. 100% midge confirmation. Thanks for all the pics and opinions everyody.

Are they harmful?I didn't see any any the tank when I cleaned it today. Could the polys have eaten them? They didn't seem too interested in them on Monday. Is it possible the midges laid eggs and are lying dormant?
