I agree with you davo. (Happy Birthday, by the way)

I was thinking that forums like this have opened the doors to monster fish keeping for a lot of people who would have been intimidated by the requirements...but being able to talk to experienced aquarists helps quite a bit.

Oscars (like it or not, I think alot of people had an Oscar as their first "big fish")
 
Big tanks (300gal+) that are strong enough to hold water without bursting...

and I hope only one Pete has posted as there are suppost to be no repetes...
 
I have to agree with SILICONE, the advent of really good adhesives and sealaallowed us to get away from the old steel framed tanks (remember those?) and led to bigger tanks being made.
