Name Change for Tigrinus and Goslinia

Found this thread while browsing through planetcatfish.com

Merodontotus tigrinus is now Brachyplatystoma tigrinum, and Goslinia platynema is now Brachyplatystoma platynemum. Will try to verify the info later on.

AWESOME---thanks for that article man. I always wondered why tigrinus wasn't a brachyplatystoma.

They should have kept it Brachyplatystoma tigrinus though. ****, my name isnt valid.

and it happens a lot. I also agree why tigs werent classified under brachy in the first place. Tigrinum sounds good but im used to tigrinus.
