HArd to tell, but ofcourse i would say Alti, cuz they are more common in my geo pursuits atleast. The easiest way to tell apart Dikro and alti is when the fish is around 2.5-3 inches if it is a DIKRO the fish will have black bars develop on the cheeks like mine.

How big is it? like less then 2 inches or right around 2? also how much was it$$? and where did you get it??

I feed mine worms and dillies and they grow pretty fast. Dikro grew faster.

i paid 8 for it its about 2-2.5" i feed him a large assortment of food! bloodworms alive and frozen, massivore, omega one shrimp pellets, and frozen krill.

oh...and i got him at the store i got fired from! hahahahaha! 30% discount!

 SO .... it's possible these that I have could be the Dikro you mentioned? (which I'm assuming you mean Dicrozosters) and just not yet got the black marks on their cheek? Right now they are about 2 - 2 1/2 inches.

DEF NOT A DIKRO after seeing that pic, its bars are different, before the pic wasnt as clear, but now 100%sure not a Dikro.

Def some sort of Altifrons, but there are so many variations, depending on who it breeded with ofcourse, and where it was collected from.

Chk out the pics, i added the Y bar the dikro should have and urs clearly doesnt,.

What do you or anyone else think?

Ok I see. So many fish with so many similar traits it's pretty confusing. Hopefully as it gets a bit older and bigger maybe something more distinguishing will become apparent.
