Used to do lawn and shrub fert/insect treatment. Its def a grub. They will ruin the root system of your lawn. Pretty easy to treat. Go to a walmart and buy some grubex or whatnot (assuming you have a spreader). Shouldn't be more than 20 bucks a bag.:nilly:
 
It's definitely a scarabeid larva. I don't think it's a June bug, though; looks more like an ox beetle (Strategus sp.) to me.
 
I bet you can eat them...grubs are very rich in protein.

Very true they lay eggs on your exophagus and brain (true the ear), around 30.000 each time and the larvae eat you inside out starting by your underware(they like it for fiber):ROFL:

IMO i would rather use the pesticides than replace my St. Augustine turf at the price of 4 dollars for each piece of sod.
