Nami green arowana

hi guys i just got a 4.5” nami green arowana today. I was wondering what is the difference between the nami green and batik arowana? I know that batik arowana has more patterns than the nami green. Or are they just the same? I couldnt find any info about nami green arowana on google thats why i posted here maybe someone with experience in keeping this kind of arowana can help me or give me tips in keeping my guy.

What is the growth rate of nami green arowana? Are they the same as other asian arowanas? When do they start developing the “batik” patterns in their scales? Thanks!

As far as i no the growth rate is same as over Asians an by wat I hear there is no difference a lot of people call them nami green batiks an I’d same as the fish matures u will see more patterning mate there was a post on here about them

Thanks for the reply! Ive read here that nami green aros come from malaysia while batik aros come from myanmar? But the seller from which i bought mine said that my guy is from myanmar. The aro is from pt dragon industry farm btw and it is labeled as nami the certificate.

So the growth rate is around 1” per month?
Heres a pic that i found here also comparing an adult batik and nami green. And a pic of mine when i first released him in the tank. I can see some faint markings on him when i flash a flashlight at him although its not visible in the pic that i posted.[/QUOTE]

I’d say his growth rate would be bout 1inch a month to start with an your little guy looks awesome I no expert on greens as I’ve only ever keep reds ,golds and silvers but going from what I’ve heard greens growth rate is same

Its my first time to keep an aro this kind as well. So far ive kept silver, black, albino silver, jardini, crossback and red. Anyway, definitely excited to raise this guy. Thanks i’ll keep updating

Hi, mind if I asked which farm you got it from?

And to my knowledge, Batik / Nami are the same thing, different names coming from different places. Batik being more well known, and Nami being the Malay name.
