I just got 2 small (approx 2") Cuban cichlids and put them in my 110gal tank by themselves. Any advice on tank mates or special feeding tips? Thanks

tankmates can be fish that they wont bully etc... like other CA or SA cichlids and catfish. My mated pair was quite peaceful to any other fish even smaller ones. They just beat on each other here and there.

It's really is hard to say what will work for sure but similar size and attitude will help.I have a male in a 135 and although he tolerates some tankmates He can be nasty.

i have a 3" cuban in a tank with other sa and ca. He matches well with them and hasnt been aggressive to anyone, he goes head to head with a select few that i guess he really doesnt like for example the firemouth he flares at back and forth but never really gets aggerssive. I have him with texas, bichir, paratilapia bleekeri and oscars. He is fine.

cubans are cool. i use to have one. a tankmate that would be awesome would be a veja argentae if they will get along

pump them up! Cubans are really cool looking.

Thought maybe a synspilum?

I have a 8" syspilum with my 6" male, 5" male and 4" female. The Cuban's are smart enough to stay out of the red heads way. They pick on each other more. My 6" took over the left side on the 125 and the 5" is on the right side with the femaie. But every fish is different so best thing to do is try out different combinations to see what works.
