Nandus nandus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't recall them being fast growing fish.

Thank you very much!
You're really helping me out!

So I'll have to keep them in 100-150cm for a while.
That's good to know!
Glad to be of any small help that I can.....keep us posted.

Hey,
They arrived and hour ago.
I've got them in a tank with my archers (same size as the smaller Nandus) so there are always some crickets in the tank.
When the archers noticed the crickets and started heading to the surface the 4 Nandus would follow them just like it was the same species of a schooling fish (I guess you get what I mean).
The biggest Nandus then jumped to get the cricket.
I guess there will be no problem with feeding them.

I'm trying to get the archers to eat bloodworms in this tank so let's hope the archers and Nandus will accept the bloodworms soon.

Nice video. Successful with the bloodworms?

Hey,
you see the black net in the background?
This is where I drop frozen bloosworms in.
As soon as the ice melts the Nandus, Datnioides and Polypteridae start attacking the net to get those bloodworms!
But the Toxotes are still refusing to eat dead food.

Yes,it is.I remember a shop here years ago that had them labeled as marbled datnoids.
Where did you get it from?
