So...what do you guys think of the whole "Nano Tank" fad? As Monster Fish Keepers, it's something that's not feasible to have if you want to keep Pbass, Dats, Knives, Polys, etc. Think these tanks are becoming the next big thing?

I totally love smaller tanks with massive filtration.

Case in point, my per project tank right now is a 20 long with a penguin 350, 200 and mini 100, plus a zoomed canister.

Live plants, Lava rock, heater, lights and white pvc caves.

i'm going to stock it with a single jelly bean convict and some yo yo loaches.

Is it nano? by MFK standards it is. Nano is a relative to your perspective, no?

True...I guess "Nano" is in the eye of the beholder, lol.

With all the new tanks on the market that are coming out (under 10g), I can't help but wonder where this hobby will go next.

They have been the next big thing for a long time. MFK is too close-minded though :) Have to go outside of MFF. Check out other forums and you will see. This site is for people with 180g tanks and big cichlids.

One of the best LFS in my area is hardcore Nano setups. They carry the full line of ADA products as well as off-brand nano rimless tanks. And they have a great selection of nano fish.

Yeah...they've definitely been around for awhile now, but I guess with Fluval coming out with all their Nano tank lines, it's more noticeable.

With the right planning and fish that unfortunately don't seem readily available, they are nice setups.

I am concerned if the common fish keeper gets into this trend and just puts larger more easily available fish in these tanks.

I chose the bacon option....I really like these little tanks, especially the one with the top on it that has all the accessories that the company makes for it.I can't recall the name of the company though.I don't really have a good spot for it but some day I will get one.

They are easy to use, but really limited on what you can put in them. They work better for salt I think.
