One of our tanks will become empty in a couple weeks. It is a 5 ft ~100 gallon tank. I'm looking for stocking ideas.

I already have a planted 300 gallon with firemouths, oscura heterospila, salvini and a paratilapia polleni.

I'm considering a small mix of medium sized CA cichlids like a JD, Convict and maybe a Green Terror but open to any suggestions/idea's. This tank does not have to be planted.

I currently have a group of A. stalsbergi and G. pellegrini grow outs in my 5 ft / 120G. I'll prolly have to move the G. pellegrini at some point, but I have some time.. 🤞 The tank previously housed a colony of the A. stalsbergi parents that I ultimately trimmed to a harem of 4, then 3, w/ plecos, colombian tetras and tiger SDs.. As adults it worked for the 3 stalsbergi and dithers, outside of breeding time..

You could prolly do a similar set up w/ any of the andinoacara or aequedens.. maybe some Heros sp. Red Shoulder.. or go w/ some G. pyrocephalus or similar sixed Geo or Guianacaras and maybe some Angels..

On the CA side, I agree w/ HUKIT HUKIT recommendations.. I've kept HRPs and Nanos in my 5 ft. I also kept Amphilophus istlanus previously in my 5 ft which didn't last too long due to aggression.. But it can work, for one male.. 😉

My favorite genus are Cryptoheros and Amatitlania. There are quite a few cool fish in Cribroheros such as altifrons, alfari, and rhytisma that would do really well in 5ft footprint.
I've been considering A. Nanolutea actually. I will look into thr cribroheros/cryptoheros but somehow these are almost never available to me.

I have a pair in my fishroom and 12 of their 2-3” offspring in with my heterospila and 40 lemon tetras. They spend nearly every minute grazing on the algae on the rocks/driftwood.
