There would be total anarchy and chaos were such an event to ever take place...it'd be right out of a Purge film but I'm not sure why this was posted in this section.
Does that mean our family and fishes going to be fine ?

No they won't,unless you have some good back up generators on hand and the might and means to protect home and hearth...and fish until power is restored.
After looking it up on multiple sites they all say it's false, sounded to convoluted to be true. Like krich said it would be nothing but chaos if something like that happened and I'd be more worried about staying alive than having power.
It'll happen at some point, it depends on storm intensity and there is a really small angle to aim and hit earth.
The last storm big enough to really hurt the earth was mid 1800s, telegraph lines sparked bad enough to start buildings on fire. Now days satellite failure and power grid failure would be possible. There is also some evidence of a WICKED solar storm from ancient drawings, but long before satellites and electricity so no damage, just a very colorful sky.
The biggest problem comes from our lack of understanding of the sun, we have no way to predict storms until they already start, and give a few days notice. One month ahead of time is not possible right now.
If I were predict an event to put the world into anarchy, I find that one of the most likely.
