Hi Diogenes, arbitrary or not, they wanted 300 PLUS aquarium. Not sure what they plan shoot other than underwater scene.

Thanks for the welcome.

It would be nice if National Geographic did a documentary on other species of piranhas instead of Red bellies all the time.

I do believe that piranhas are illegal in VA which is most of the chesapeake bay, so I would start looking for someone in maryland, and north of there

It's not that no one has Ps as much as no one keeps them in that large of a tank. Most of the RBP hobbyests will start small then once the Ps have lost there wow factor and they find that they are not as aggressive as they thought they would be they will stray to a different type of fish that is either more aggressive (i.e. armatus, African tigers or dorado) or they will go for something more rare (i.e. amaira, dats or AUL)

bump!

yep plum's the man. its the best national geographic could get im sure. its not just RBP's but its a 720 gallon tank im sure that makes up for it besides to the general public theres no difference between a caribe, piraya or red belly there all the same to them

300 seems sort of arbitrary. HarleyK has like a 240 stocked with piraya. Seems big enough to me...

They could come and film any time :D My plants are exclusively Amazonian, with two exceptions: Anubias, which I could live without, and a few nice bulbs of Crinum natans which would be hard to part with :nilly:

But then, my tank is too small
(I keep telling that to my wife over and over :D:D:D)
