That's about all the shiners I saw in AL. What drainage is Coldwater Creek in?

The Coosa River drainage. Lots of info about this creek on the web.. Do striped shiners ever have extra colorations? The ones I see daily are anywhere from 4-9 inches and most resemble striped shiners, but sometimes have beautiful coloration. I catch them occasionally while fishing for rock bass or bream. Very abundant in my backyard swimming hole, and sometimes school with chubs and stonerollers.

Form the Alabama Striped shiners I've seen, they can be very pink in the head and tips of fins. Our Striped shiners get a little pink but nothing like the Alabama fish. Are your fish pink?
