native channel and blue cats

I think you are missing the main point....you do not have any room for fully grown blue catfish, let alone house it with other catfish. Don't get a blue catfish, period.

I agree. I have a 5000 gallon pond and I have been contemplating putting a blue in there and brining my koi inside. I have a few channel cats in there and bullheads and they are pretty active and swim around. Blue's need room. I have a huge flathead in my basement right now and he's been chomping down on my 8-10" bullheads and channel cats. A good thing they are just for bait.
