native fish in with tropical fish

i have been catching alot of sunfish lately and was wondering if i could put some of them in with a couple of gouramis that are about the same size.The temperature is around 72 degrees.

if you keep the water temp around 70 degrees ish then they should be fine...just as long as the sunfish arent big enough to eat your gouramis

How big is the tank and how many do you plan on keeping?

I kept a bluegill in 82 degrees with no ill effects so far. Doing pretty good..

One or Two should be good go for it.

If the tank is big enough you could keep a school of them

I think the sunfish will kill the Gouramies eventually.

Most sunnies can accept tropical tank temps. Many can be a bit territorial and inquisitive, I would expect them to pick at the gourami's fins at least.

Ive even heard of sunfish beating up cichlids lol. They can definately hold their own!

i love tanks mixing tropicals with natives. they look really neat and diverse, just my thoughts. good luck with the fish
