Sell native fish is illegal in US unless you own a hatchery and have the proper permits.. This is how none-indigenous species get introduced into non-native water ways.

Just checked this with the DNR last week. And a buyer would have to retain the receipt the entire time they own the fish.
Is it that cut and dry? I see local pet stores selling LMB, Muskie, Pikes, and all kinds of blue gills....also see a variety of native fish on aqua bid? I have a number of hatchery purchased species in my tanks , would I be able to resell any of these if I desired? Obviously I can't just go release any of them.... just curious?
