im new to this site and ive noticed alot of people are into keeeping natives i didnt think that many people did it. i am going to be getting a 125 gallon tank and i was wondering what kind of fish you all would recemond putting in there. My initial thought was to get a grass pickerel and maybe a bullhead. any thoughts and ideas for the new tank would be great.

Grass Pickerel would be cool. I have thought about getting a Rock Bass. Love the cool red eyes. Sunfish are good to, but get the less aggressive ones.

If I had a 125 I'd have 2 or 3 of whatever is biting next weekend out at the springs :) plus a hogchoker (also at the springs, need a net and mask/snorkel) and maybe a madtom or two.

i just recently collected two 2 inche bullheads im thinking brown bullheads those are main species of catfish in my area. Im thinking of going out on a local lake/pond and catching 1 or 2 sunfish and a grass pickerel . whats an easy way to tell the difference in between a grass pickerel and a chain pickerel? i know chain pickerel will easily out grow a 125 gallon tank

ive been fishin on a river here in virginia (potomac) and been catching a lot of monster catfish... for bait i been using some sunfish. bluegill r ugly... no point there... but alot of the otherfish r in spawning season and have some seriously beautiful colors. i think they r pumpkin seeds, long ear sunfish and redbrest sunfish...

get some of those beauties
