Hi All

Just wondering what plants you all use in your native setups. I am looking for a couple big plants that can be placed in a background, and some smaller ground cover.

They should also be fairly hardy as there will not be any CO2 injection or heater.

Are you trying to keep everything native? NA native plants that you can easily buy include:

Bacopa caroliniana
Cabomba caroliniana
Ceratophyllum demersum
Didiplis diandra
Echinodorus berteroi
E. cordifolius
E. tenellus
Eleocharis acicularis
E. montevidensis
Elodea canadensis
Ludwigia repens
Nymphoides aquatica
Sagittaria (most of the available species are North American)
Vallisneria americana

No problem. Add to that list three of my favorites that I somehow forgot: Proserpinaca palustris and P. pectinata (mermaid weeds), plus Najas guadelupensis (guppy grass).

Sorry about that. Unfortunately, common names in the aquatic plant industry are extremely unreliable.
