I've seen little brookies in creeks in the middle of the woods in Connecticut up to 7 inches long and the water is about 1 foot deep and about 2 feet wide.

Onetime while i was backpacking in the Sierra Nevada's i caught a Golden Trout in a creek that was probably 2 feet deep, and 1 foot wide.

When I caught my golden trout, the creek was this size but it had pools ever so often that were about 10' accross. The pools is where I caught them.
Also there were signs all over warning of bears, my wife was all upset because I disapeared from sight (looking for more pools). She would not let the kids out of the car, so everyone was mad at me. The kids did not believe they would see a bear, but when we started driveing again there was a black bear walking on the road just 2 min. from where I was fishing.

I really think that's some kind of char and not a trout. Might be a brook trout but it's really a char :)

It is a brook trout, in the Salvelinus genus along with char.

yes a brook trout is a char, char are distiguished by the light spots on a dark backround
