I have a pleco in with my fish, but I have offered him plenty of places to hide from the piranha, and when I get extra space in another tank, I'll probably remove him again.

They will eat their non-P tank mates and even their P tank mates sometimes. I gave up after mine ate 4 oscars that were the same size as him... I didn't want the oscars anyways though...
