Thanks all,Rocks are Grey Yorkstone borrowed from local beech. Caves are overrated in the many yrs ive been keeping wild Rifts as long as a few hideouts for holding females and fry. My tip is grow plenty of alge for Mbuna and they spend many hrs grazing of rocks instead of fighting I feed 3x small feeds daily and carry out 80% weekly water changes to keep Nitrates very low. Only have 4 species with 2 being large groups either 1m or 3m with many females. Pick species that don't look alike and that helps with aggression or any hybrids.

Looks great. I "borrow" all of my aquarium rock from the beach as well, beats paying by the pound. Where I am there is plenty of large black slate which lets me pile it in the tank and still form caves.

Sand is natural of my local beech and boiled to safe use. Species are all wild and F1 juvies from Metriclima Msobo , Metriclima Mbenji zebra , Petrotilpia Mbenji , Labeotropheus Fuelleborni Katale.

I noticed you stated an 80% water change weekly. How long does that take you? 144 gallons of water would take me a long time. Very nice tank and the rocks look good.
