Nice to see that it's not only my Flower ray that sits ontop of the water like that Gr8... I came into the fish room last night to find my one of my rays missing (Naturally my heart jumped out of my chest and I thought OMG while quickly scanning the floor while still walking towards the tank...) Open the cover on the tank to find him just chillin on top of the water waiting for his dinner

FYI - Have you checked your water parameters? My ray did this after I fed some anchovies that were meant for human consumption. The anchovies released a HUGE amount of oil in my water and almost killed my ray! You might want to check out your water buddy, oxygen levels might be dangerously low?

All is and Was Good... that was my first thought to... but once he ate he is fine... This is the only Ray I've ever had that has actually "asked" to be fed... he will splash the water in his tank every meal time... it's like he knows it's time to eat

Anybody else???

I don't think it's a good sign when your rays stays at the top with its disc all surfaced up like that. Do check your water parameters.

my female motoro likes to bite my acrylic tank with her senser under her lip.... i had to put up a piece of egg crate to stop her because she started scratching the acrylic whenever she was hungry... which in a pregnant ray.... is quite often
