He is doing great and growing like a weed! :grinno:

Babies look great and grow like weeds too... right before Sudden Baby Death Syndrome strikes.

But hey, if your parameters are good and the ray has decent space, why not?

Housed two electric catfish with three stingrays for 2 days. NO ONE WAS HAPPY!
Everyone had their own territory and all hell broke loose during the recapture of the e-cats. Not to mention I (accidently) sorta bear-hugged one of the e-kittys to keep it from hitting the floor and got zapped something awful.

The rays were all biting at each other for a good 3 days after it was all over. But I had to break a tank down and move it with no alternative at the time. Oh well, it didn't kill anyone or anything so they must be stronger from the experience 'eh?

One more:
I was intent on feeling what it was like to be bit by my largest ray. It hurts.:screwy:

Very impressive setup i love the sand and smooth river rocks very cool.
Does the frt and motoro combo work it would save me a lot of heart break by having to sell my huge frt to get marble motoros:cry::cry:
It has lived with motoros before from the guy i got it off but ive never dared to try.

some have had good luck... other not so good luck.... depends on the turtle... and guess what there is only one way to find out....

i had to put small rays in a 15 gallon to get them feeding..i filtered with a ac110.... cry me a river if it is animal abuse you gotta do what you gotta do....

I don't think it's a good sign when your rays stays at the top with its disc all surfaced up like that. Do check your water parameters.
All of my tanks are Perfect for their water... it is tested regulary and I NEVER Have a problem as my water change schedual is every other day on my more sensative fish (rays... some of my cats ect) This is simply a behaviour of this particular ray... he is ULTRA Friendly and Always hungry since he did this the first time and was rewarded with food he does it every night now... Lunches are not so well timed and so he doesn't bother waiting... but dinners are always at the same time so he has figured it out that if he waits up there then he will get his worms before the female in the tank which is WAY More agressive during feeding times...
