orbignyi flower, guacamayan ring tail, sacha motelo, pearl imitator, turtle ray, and puma cat ray are named to get into your pockets. Most people pay more to get what no one else has.

Don't forget alot of these names are put in place by the exporter, not always the importer.. but yeah some are just money maker names.. What I don't understand are the names are all jacked up and it looks as if the importer/exporters are both confused..

Sacha (Sascha) = Flower
Motelo = Tortoise/Turtle
So I guess a Sacha Motelo is a Turtle/Flower pattern mixed?


Puma has a special name, I forget it.. maybe it's Otorongo but I thought that meant Jaguar

the Orbignyi is probably just brown garbage way overpriced..


It sucks that people pay lots for those brown rays with fancy names when they cost about 1/2 the amount of Motoros out of the river.. The 'orbignyi flower' literally costed like $10 before it was exported..

^ Thanks man. The rays like the one in my picture can be had all day long for like $125. Don't seem too hardy though....... Mine seems cool..... Literally. Freezer style. Don't know what happened... The thing ate like a champ. That pic was even BEFORE feeding.
