Yes he is not a good shooter, neither is Rajon Rondo...In my opinion they are exactly what the definition of a true point guard is (pass first, setting up teammates).

Rondo is actually quite a effective scorer, career FG shootin at 48% (24% 3PT)
Rubio FG 36% (32% 3PT)

Top teams have starting PG capable of scoring (Parker, Westbrook, Ty Lawson, Stephen Curry, D Will, D Rose) *Hence all playoff teams
Rubio is all fun to watch and all, but he needs to improve his scoring. Rubio is like a CP3 with less PPG

Rubio can't carry the team. He is pretty much a unpolished "gem" that needs more experience. Too fancy with too many turnovers.

Rondo is an effective scorer? Me thinks rubio puts more effort into scoring then rondo. He's a TERRIBLE shooter and all you have to do is go tall and lanky on D and he's shut down. In fact, his man is often used to double team. He's all fast break

I think rubio as a poor mans rondo is an accurate description. Rondo just has had better players around him.

Honestly, I don't think either team has attempted to build a team around the PGs strength yet. I think Boston will be heading their with their roster reset. These young guys can run with him

I would not consider 24% from three effective ha

I completely agree with the fact that he needs to work on his jump shot...I personally believe the biggest reason why he has had such trouble is because of team injuries, when he moves around picks and to pop or slash he is always double teamed and takes contested layups or shots. When he did pass the ball out last year it was to a scrub off the bench, hence us being one of the worst three point shooting teams in NBA history last year. I completely believe his stats were deflated last year. It is also important to remember he is coming off of serious knee surgery. He is no Adrian Peterson ha

From 2-10 untill 3-30 he shot around 40% (39.8) from the field. This was his best shooting of the year as soon as he he starting to get his wheels back and play at his normal tempo. Obviously what is taking the % down a bit is his shooting, but I am all for him passing the ball to love and martin at the end of the day ha.

I would like to see him and Blake Griffen on the same team for a few games ha

to many turnovers? Rubio had 172 that is 3 turnovers a game, Jrue Holiday had 292 3.7 a game, Westbrook with 273...

take into consideration Rubio was out the first month, still would not be close to almost 300.

as I look at this list I see James harden had 295 TO last year, damn he must be handling the ball a lot

Why would anyone even mention blake griffin? I find him terrible with no handles all he is good for is dunking just IMHO.

Because he's awesome at dunking? He's a less polished version of Vince carter. I think his game will continue to grow though.

Plus he's a point guards dream

Nothing about his game has gotten better. Poor shooter, great dunker, ok defender. Thays pretty much it for him. He fills seats
