Necropsy: Warning, May Be Graphic

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
oohh i see i see.. I shall research on that! I'm concerned about the bioload too. 2 midsize poly's i had before pumped up my nitrates causing me to do more frequent WC. but, I'll definitely look ropefish up!

What filter are you running? This is getting really off topic lol, PM me if you have questions about roepfish, I have two and have amassed a fair knowledge of them.

hehe it is getting off topic. but, i have (1) eheim 2217 right now. does good job with ammonia and nitrite.. nitrate, i may probably add live plants. Thanks Younglin! I'll hit you a pm soon

Is there any way to fix spine curvature? My friend has a senegal suffering from this but it seem to do pretty well. In fact It is always the first to swim up to the surface and grab a bite during feeding time

I've been trying to find out a 'fix' through some other sites, but was unsuccessful. So I guess if it is "the same" case, just make sure you have quality water parameters, and he/she is well nourished. That way you may prevent other further complications. Mine lived for a lil over a year with that spine curvature til he died...

gross! just saying. anyways, sorry for your loss.

sorry for the lost man,
I would empty the tank first and the filter, clean it and dry it, then get a pair of new sens in there, but I wouldn't go with a ropefish in a 40g, its way too small, considering the length of the fish. As for the spine curvature, I think it could be caused by early infections, which should be treated immediately when detected.

thanks guys

It's been a while and didn't dawn on me that it might have been an early infection, so I haven't really empty out the tank. My other sen seems to be doing fine though..

hmmm.. another sen... got me tempted. I shall do a post on that hehe :nilly:
