Here's a pic of my 55g without many fish. Real DW, fake plants (I'll get real ones soon) and eco complete.

What kind of natives are those?

Rainbow darter, Long Ear Sunfish, and what I think is a blunt nose darter. The long ear sunfish in my creek will blow you away with their colors. The one pictured is more orange, but Ive seen them with more blue or more red as well. Awesome fish that could live in a 55 for life as they dont get large. Did I mention that they are aggressive as hell and could be considered monsters?!

I also have other fish that either look cool, like madtoms, or have more color like some cyprinids that I dont have a clue what their name is.

A 55 with a pair of longears, half a dozen of the "minnows that I dont know what are called," a couple madtoms and northern hogsucker for clean up and youd have a kick ass tank!

hey thats a nice stimulation of a planted tank bro!!! hmmmmm that kinda interested me! :)

I dont really like the size of the 55. I think the width is to shallow for larger fish. I would go with a 75g with an 18 inch width. It would open up the possibilities of what you could keep in there.

Mbuna tank!:cool-1:

sorry im obsessed.Nice setup with the wood and stuff looks like an angel tank 2-4 black and koi angels with a group of botia striata.a school of tetras to round it out

That is a really nice tank setup you have, I wished I could have plants in my 55 gallon tanks, but my two large tanks have Oscars in them, and they wont tolerate anything like that in their homes.
